LOMIRA VILLAGE BOARD PUBLIC HEARING ON 2008 BUDGET DECEMBER 5, 2007
This hearing was called to order at 7:15 PM by Pres. Luedtke. Roll call showed six members present, Tr. Born was absent. Also present were Tom Kispert, Brian Koll and Joel Nisleit from the Lomira News.
This hearing was called to allow public comment on the proposed 2008 budget. No citizens appeared to comment.
Moved by Tr. Schluter, seconded by Tr. Gornjak, to adjourn the hearing. Motion carried.

LOMIRA VILLAGE BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 5, 2007
This meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by Pres. Luedtke. Roll call showed six members present; Tr. Born was absent. Also present were Tom Kispert, 4 Friends of the Lomira Public Library, Brian Koll and Joel Nisleit.
Moved by Tr. Schluter, seconded by Tr. Gilson, to approve the minutes from the previous meeting as read. Motion carried.
Tom Kispert from McMahon Associates presented the board and the Friends of the Lomira Public Library with a donation for $2,000 for the library fundraising efforts. He also gave a construction report on the wastewater treatment plant project.
Moved by Tr. Schneider, seconded by Tr. Schroeder, to approve payment of the November bills in the following amounts: General Fund $249,070.08 and Utility Fund $97,247.33. Motion carried.
The board discussed the library and municipal building project and decided at the next board meeting there will be an agenda item to vote on a design firm. The four library friends’ members then left the meeting.
The Director of Public Works Report was given and discussed.
Moved by Pr. Luedtke, seconded by Tr. Schluter, to adopt Resolution No. 825, Approving the 2008 Budget, as presented. Motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
Moved by Tr. Schluter, seconded by Tr. Gilson, to adopt Resolution No. 826, Setting the Tax Levy and Mill Rate, as presented. Motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
Moved by Tr. Schluter, seconded by Tr. Schneider, to authorize the Director of Public Works to sell the old Ford backhoe. Motion carried.
Moved by Pr. Luedtke, seconded by Tr. Schroeder, to authorize the Director of Public Works to obtain bids for the surface course of pavement in Lomira Highlands Subdivision. Motion carried.
Moved by Tr. Schneider, seconded by Tr. Gornjak, to approve the pay request from Rennhack Construction for Garden Street and Acorn Drive work in the amount of $150,219.89. Motion carried.
Moved by Tr. Schroeder, seconded by Tr. Schluter, to approve the election officials for 2008-2009 as follows: Ardell Priest, Patricia Zimmerman, Violet King, Karen Fochs, Vickie Blanchard, Gwen Hinz, Loraine Weyer, Lila Ebert, Janice Haefs, Patricia Schneiter, Ann Kreuser and Daniel Kahlhammer. Motion carried.

This meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by Pres. Luedtke. Roll call showed all members present, in addition to Joel Nisleit and Brian Koll.
Moved by Tr. Schluter, seconded by Tr. Born, to approve the minutes from the previous meeting as read. Motion carried.
The board discussed the loss of revenue on the village garbage bag sales and if the bag prices should be adjusted. After much discussion, Tr. Born made the motion and Tr. Schneider seconded, to table the decision for now and look at it again in the future. Motion carried.
Moved by Pr. Luedtke, seconded by Tr. Schluter, to adopt a curb cut policy for new driveways as presented. Motion carried.
Moved by Tr. Born, seconded by Tr. Schneider, to make no recommendation to Dodge County Planning Department on the minor subdivision request of Camelot Country Club, for land at W330 STH 67. Motion carried.
Moved by Tr. Schroeder, seconded by Tr. Schneider, to reimburse the Lomira Athletic Association for this year’s utility bill in the amount of $772.06 from the Promotional Fund. Motion carried.
