CHANGES TO YARD WASTE COLLECTION RULES

VILLAGE OF LOMIRA

            Effective September 17, 2009, the Village of Lomira will no longer collect grass clippings and miscellaneous yard waste unless it is placed on the curb in a sturdy, re-usable container such as a garbage can, barrel or pail.  No material will be collected if it is placed in plastic bags or cardboard boxes. These wastes also should not be placed loose on the curb.  Brush which is large enough to chip (generally at least 1/2” in diameter, and at least three feet long) may be piled loose on the curb and should be placed with the cut ends all pointed in the same direction traffic travels in the lane closest to your property.  This would be to the right as you stand facing the street.  Leaf collection rules remain unchanged.  Yard waste collection will continue on Wednesdays, year around.  Please do not place yard waste on the curb more than 24 hours prior to collection.  Help keep our community attractive!
